In the event of a power outage or when traveling at night, a flashlight is essential. We need one that is powerful, that is to say with intense light and great autonomy. We are also looking for one that is weather resistant. However, it is not easy to find your ideal flashlight, because many parameters come into play. So what will be the essential criteria for choosing the best flash light ?
The best waterproof travel flashlight
Only praise for Giosolar for its waterproof flashlight! It is made of aluminum which makes it completely waterproof, shock-resistant and rust-proof. Multifunctional, it is a source of light, compass and source of energy thanks to its external battery. In fact, its two USB ports can charge certain electronic devices. Hybrid, this lamp can be recharged with solar energy and/or electricity. Its LED bulbs offer ultra-powerful brightness with a lighting intensity that can be adjusted to three levels according to our needs. The problem? Frequent exposure to humidity weakens its poorly insulated circuit.

When and how to use it while traveling?
We are often advised to have a waterproof flashlight on the go. For what? Because you risk using it in heavy rain or dropping it when crossing a river. Also, because we use it to light our way on often irregular tracks at nightfall, to look for an object in the dark or simply to read a last passage from our holiday book before going to sleep. Unlike the torch on our smartphone, a waterproof flashlight has a long battery life, powerful lighting and convenient handling.
Purchasing criteria, to make the right choice before buying
Before purchasing, find out about the light output of the lamp. A LED bulb produces better brightness, even with low battery charge. Also, we can rely on the number of lumens that constitute the lamp, the higher it is, the more powerful it is. Also opt for flashlights with adjustable light to make your eyes more comfortable when using them. Then, as it is called pocket-sized, the size must be small enough so that it fits easily into the small compartments of our bag or our clothes. It must also have either an IPX8 certified, totally waterproof coating, or completely waterproof packaging in which it is stored. In terms of autonomy, prefer rechargeable battery lamps with the Li-Ion 18650 mention to avoid lugging around boxes of batteries.
Conclusion and Opinion
Also choose solar or dynamo lamps so that they can be used everywhere. A lamp of pocket for traveling, is good, but a waterproof flashlight is better! Whether during our journey or once at our destination, we never know when we will need light, when we have access to electricity and in what condition. Have a lamp poached waterproof thus makes our lives easier by providing us with light in any circumstance as long as it is charged!
